So many of our clients have Botox treatments these days and it’s not cheap (if it’s done well!) so we have compiled a few tips to help you get the most out of your treatment.
- Strenuous exercise can significantly reduce the time that your botox lasts. Try to limit extreme sessions for a few weeks after treatment.
- Wear great SPF to prevent any breakdown being accelerated and prevent the biggest ageing factor (the sun) from attacking the skin. Avoid sunbathing in direct sunlight. SPF50 is best. Use a separate sunscreen rather than one in a moisturiser as it will be too weakened.
- Stay hydrated. Drink throughout the day, plain water is best, not caffeinated drinks or fizzy pop. Also apply a great serum, we love DiBi’s Hydra Perfection extreme moisturising concentrate, (£42 and available in salon) which is packed with low molecular weight hyaluronic acid which means it can be delivered deeper down into the skin to where it’s needed most to hold onto water so skin stays plumped and smooth.
- Use a support specific serum. So for areas with Botox, apply DiBi’s Lift Creator range’s ‘B*Tox like’ peptide concentrate or as a general lift effect try the Collagen and Elastin Booster concentrate which helps to promote a tighter, more lifted skin texture. The serums are £60 each and you can apply morning and night to face, neck and décolletage.
