As we enter into the colder months it is a good idea to give your skin (both face and body) a thorough exfoliation. This will get rid of any dry, dead skin to leave you ready for an increased level of moisturising which it will need.

Skin takes a beating with air conditioning and the dry, hot weather in the summer. Add in sea water, pool water, sand and sun screen and it’s bound to be ready for a good scrub!

As we now change seasons and start with central heating or open fires you are going to need to keep skin nourished and so it helps to get a clean base so the creams sink in better. Your skin doesn’t like changes in temperature so going in and out of the house or being cold and then sitting close to the fire will aggravate and can lead to flushed skin, increased sensitivity, dry patches and breakouts.

We offer a fabulous body polish which is a legs, arms and back scrub followed by a rehydrating lotion or oil to suit your skin.

We have a few options for your face;

  • Microdermabrasion – which is a machine with a pen shaped wand which suctions onto the skin and as we glide it across, tiny particles of diamonds which are on the tip, exfoliate the dead cells away.
  • Dermaplaning – where the dead cells plus any ‘peach fuzz’ hairs are removed using a scalpel leaving skin smooth and makes your make up sit much better on the skin. Perfect for Christmas party season!
  • Hydra Oxy facial – a mechanical facial combining a light peel dermabrasion plus RF for tightening and Dermalux clinical grade LED for rejuvenation.
  • Age Resist – where we mix microdermabrasion with a hands on facial plus Dermalux LED therapy.

Once your skin is prepped make sure that you stay hydrated over winter by both drinking plenty of water and applying good moisturisers and maintain wearing SPF every single day! Although you should use a face scrub every week it is advisable to have a facial every 4 to 6 weeks (the time it takes for your skin cells to turn over) to remain glowing and smooth.
