I don’t just mean why we have the heated couches, that’s just for an extra treat for you. There’s nothing worse than being cold during a massage after all. These are fabulous choices during the winter months.
We have 4 massages where we incorporate heat.
Hot stone massage – one of our most popular treatments. Unlike you see on photos, we use the stones to massage with rather than just placing them on your body and leaving them. That way we can still massage your muscles but in a really gentle way. Your body loves the warmth which makes muscles relax (imagine doing a deep sigh as you relax in the sunshine, same thing). Super relaxing in a normal massage position.
Warm bamboo massage – A deeper massage using warm bamboo sticks to manipulate your muscles. A combination of sports/deep tissue massage with an element of warmth to help muscles let go.
Warm Himalayan Salt ball massage – using hot stones and the warmed, magnesium rich salt balls for added mineral benefits.
Hydrotherm massage – Hydrotherm consists of two cushions, filled with warm water and heated to about 38°C. All you need to do is turn up, lie down on your back and relax. You don’t even need to turn over!
It keeps your muscles warm and supple throughout.
It keeps the spine supported and in perfect alignment.
Lying on the front can be uncomfortable and problematic for some people, but with Hydrotherm this is no longer an issue.
